Philosophy Statement

Hello! My name is Anahi Dominguez and my philosophy on education is that I believe anyone can make difference. I know it sounds cheesy, but this is something I truly believe in. Anyone is able to make a difference no matter big or small, and a lot of times its the small things that mean the most. Becoming an educator, is my way of making a difference; it's my way of leaving my footprint in the world and I hope by me becoming a teacher, I am able to leave a positive influence over the lives of my students.
One of the ways I plan to reach out to my students is by using technology. I feel like its education's biggest assets right now and a great tool if used correctly. My experience with technology has been  useful. Working at a school I have seen many different ways of integrating technology with education such as using learning games, using clips on the iPad, PowerPoint, etc. To me technology integration is mixing the subjects with technology such as using ST math or study island and other resources to help your students learn.

  1. Hi Anahi, I definitely agree that technology can be an asset, and like you I have seen it used everyday during practicum. There are websites and apps that I never knew about being used in ways I could not imagine. It’s amazing to see how students use that technology and sometimes I see that they know more than the teacher. Nice job on your post, looking forward to reading more from you.

  3. Hello Anahi, I definitely agree that anyone can make a difference. And teachers do not really notice but they do make a difference in their students life everyday when they are supportive and listen to their students.

  5. I agree with your statement that anyone can make a difference. It is important as educators that we keep that fact in mind, because we have a huge impact on our students which will eventually impact the people around them. I know that you will have a positive impact on your students, because you have already been such a positive classmate and I am glad we are in the same cohort! Technology will definitely be a great resource in making a difference in our students lives.
